Sabesh brings 16 years of experience in product development and commercialization from diverse array of companies and technologies. He has worked in productization of novel discoveries in agriculture, defense and biotech. He has substantial experience in leading global project teams located in USA, Canada, Germany, India, and the Saudi Arabia. He has worked in leadership roles for unicorn startup company (Indigo Ag), and multinational companies (SABIC, Nutrien and KOCH). He is experienced in product ideation, R&D laboratory technology development, prototyping, piloting, technology transfer, IP isolation and commercialization. He has overseen testing and validation of new products in USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Notable successes include development and commercialization of ESN® at Nutrien in 2007. This product is the industry leader from launch till now, measured by volume and performance. At SABIC, he led the development and scale up of an inhibitor product with NPV upwards of $160M. More recently, he led the technology team that formulated microbials into various agricultural formulations and launched them as commercial products – first to market among sister companies.
Dr. Kanagalingam obtained his PhD from University of Waterloo in polymer chemistry in 2002 and his MSc in biomaterials engineering from University of Toronto in 1998 and his BSc from the same university in chemistry in 1995.
